Nude Window Releases Story #10, By Photographer Mariah Carle

Nude Window is a photographic depiction of 100 people in their own environment telling a short story that pertains to their own lives. No clothing is worn to disguise who they are, No shades or curtains are drawn to hide them from the world.

Nude Window [link] announces the release of story #10, Athos and Squirrel. This story marks the fifth month of a journey that has traveled from San Francisco to London, North Carolina, New York and back again, highlighting the unique lives and stories of people all over the world.

Nude window has had over 12 thousand hits since its inception in September 2007.
As the interest continues to grow for the Nude Window Project, M. Carle will strive to capture and share the next 90 stories in the series, “I thank you for your continued support for this work, and hope that you and your friends will enjoy the many wonderful stories that make up The Nude Window Project.”

Mariah Carle is a 31 year old photographer who resides in the Bay Area of California. Originally a model, she has spent the past three years as the woman behind the camera. Her experience as a model has enabled her to take pictures that have appeared in multiple gallery shows, and have gained her work with both commercial and portrait clients. This photographer uses a digital & film 35mm, medium format, and 4x5 large format to create her images. Carle started photography not by taking classes, but the old-fashioned way: by learning from others. As an intern, she was able to be “hands on” and experience life behind the camera. Everything that she learned as a “student” continues to support her in every click of the shutter. Whether she is shooting in a studio, or outdoors on location, no two images are the same and each express an emotion of the model running the gamut from blissful to despair.
